ArcGIS for Local Government Services PWA understands that land ownership parcels are a crucial piece of land records management: providing a simple means to represent location and ownership, and a critical element for implementing the maps and apps using Esri’s ArcGIS for Local Government templates. Data Development & Maintenance PWA offers a suite of data development and maintenance services that include analysis of existing geospatial data, developing new geospatial datasets, converting non-GIS geospatial formats to GIS format, converting hard copy maps to GIS format, GPS field collection or enhancing existing geospatial datasets. PWA also offers ongoing geospatial maintenance for any geospatial dataset:  parcels, utilities, zoning, addresses, etc. Our GPS technology utilizes Trimble GeoXH, sub-foot accuracy, ArcPad,   ProXT/ProXH, and GPS Analyst for post processing.

NG 9-1-1 Addressing Crises occur regardless of agency preparation. Crises take the form of natural and human-made disasters. While each event has different procedures, one common denominator in every plan is the need to communicate or respond to the appropriate group(s) (i.e., police, faculty/staff, media, etc.). In the event that a crisis occurs, a prompt and effective response will reduce trauma, bring order to chaos, and can even be the determining factor between life and death. The issue surrounding effective response is the management of MSAG, ALI, and GIS databases. Aerial Photography For over 20 years, PWA has acted as a service bureau for county, state and federal natural resources departments, forest industry and agricultural clients to provide aerial photography.  PWA has developed unique applications of aerial photography to produce products, otherwise not available, to optimize management.  These products provide clients more current data using cost-effective methods that allow for more efficient and effective management.  PWA’s aircraft, with camera bay, is used to fly specialized small (35mm) and medium (70mm) format aerial photography for vegetation or natural resource monitoring and analysis.  This photography is utilized as an alternative to or supplemental to the more cost-prohibitive large format (9” x9”) imagery.  These photos can be taken using black and white, natural color, or color-infrared film (Click for example) or in digital format (Click for example).

Natural Resource Services Pro-West and Associates, Inc. is involved in diverse natural resource projects including:  forestry planning, spatial analysis, database design, application development, data development, data conversion, data maintenance, remote sensing, and customized training and support. Some examples of natural resource services provided by PWA include; consulting, tactical and comprehensive forest planning, GIS products for precision application in agriculture (Click for example), annual data management, data improvement via photo interpretation, and search/secure historical aerial photography for production of useable imagery for historical reference (Click for example).
