Addressing in Action: A Community Approach to Address Data Management at Racine County -  2:45-3:15pm Thursday, February 26th, Sandstone 8,9

Learn how Racine County — home to approximately 200,000 residents in the state’s southeastern region — is taking an innovative, community-centered approach to address data management, eliminating gaps in data, automating maintenance, and promoting data ownership across municipalities. Following a comprehensive cleanup of its address point and road centerline datasets, learn how the County shifted its focus toward building long-term partnerships with municipalities and local organizations to maintain a centralized, authoritative address repository supported by its GIS-Based Address Requester application. Topics will include collaborative workflows for sharing and validating data, streamlined processes for submitting updates to the Wisconsin NG911 portal, and outreach methods that encourage municipalities to actively participate in address maintenance efforts. Attendees will gain insight into how Racine County blends technology, policy, and stakeholder collaboration to strengthen local address data management — supporting emergency response, planning, and public service delivery across the county.
