2026 Assessors' Association of Nevada Fall Conference
The Pro-West team is looking forward to attend the Assessors' Association of Nevada Fall Conference. This will be Pro-West's first year in attendance and it will be a big one!
Pro-West will be presenting with Churchill County, leading a workshop, and will exhibit at this year's conference.
Workshop
Reading Legal Descriptions – Tuesday, September 15, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Pro-West's experienced trainers will host a day-long workshop for Assessors diving into reading legal descriptions for intermediate and advanced-level professionals. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), including how land is divided, referenced, and described. Through clear explanations and practical examples, attendees will develop the skills needed to read common legal description formats, recognize key terminology, and understand how descriptions relate to maps, parcels, and real-world boundaries. The workshop will also explore best practices for writing and reviewing legal descriptions, helping participants identify potential issues, improve accuracy, and better communicate land information.

Process Improvement at Churchill County - Thursday, September 17, 1 pm
Churchill County, Nevada wanted to transition to ArcGIS Pro's Parcel Fabric to improve data quality, streamline processes, and support better decision making across the county. Despite challenges with inconsistent data standards, budget limitations, and limited staff resources, the county is now in its third year of development and is on it's way to complete a countywide Parcel Fabric implementation. See how this project has strengthened the role of the Assessor's office as a trusted data source, providing a valuable resource that can be shared and used across departments.
