Pro-West & Associates, Inc. has been named the National Subcontractor of the Year for 2013 by the U.S. Small Business Administration, making the firm the first GIS company to receive the award.
Pro-West & Associates is among the nation’s top entrepreneurs who will be honored at the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) National Small Business Week celebration June 21st in Washington, D.C. The National Subcontractor award recognizes “small businesses that provide outstanding goods and services to the federal government as subcontractors”. Pro-West was evaluated by the SBA on its delivery performance, technical capabilities, employee relations, and cost efficacy.
Pro-West was nominated by engineering firm CH2M HILL, with whom it has partnered on a number of projects, for its exceptional work on projects requiring GIS expertise: “Pro-West produced GIS data and maps that exceeded the quality standards for projects and helped CH2M HILL meet its small business subcontracting utilization goals.” CH2M HILL also Pro-West’s ability to “deliver the superior technical skills we need to support our projects, proactively anticipate our workload needs, and adjust their day-to-day staffing accordingly. Most of all, they have leveraged technology to perform the services we need, deliver those services quickly, and create close working relationships with our project teams.”
